NLC Chairman Gershom Otachi Commissioner Hon. Tiyah Galgalo and Ag. CEO Kabale Tache were among the dignitaries as H.E. President William Ruto led a high-level government team for the groundbreaking of proposed Shauri Moyo ‘A’ Affordable Housing Project.
Speaking during the ground breaking ceremony the head of state said that the government plans to construct 1,000,000 houses across the country by 2027.
He said that his administration was committed to providing safe, habitable, secure and affordable housing for all Kenyans.
Two weeks ago, President Ruto launched a similar housing project in Homabay County with many more lined for launching
The National Land Commission plays an integral role in land acquisition and allocation for successful implementation of the Affordable Housing project.
Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, Lands CS Zechariah Njeru and Nairobi City Governor Johnson Sakaja were among other notable dignitaries who accompanied the head of state.
