LEVERAGE ON TECHNOLOGY, HR PRACTIONERS URGED

Information, Communication and Digital Economy Cabinet Secretary Eliud Owalo has challenged Human Resource practioners to leverage on technology to position the human resource profession effectively in the public space.

Mr Owalo who was speaking during a congratulatory breakfast organized by the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM) in his honour, noted that digital technology is an imperative tool in the current transforming work environment.

The CS reiterated that employers must understand and embrace technology as a key driver in generating a workforce that has a positive attitude towards technology and digitalization.

He was categorical that the government is committed to achieve a comprehensive automated service for efficient service delivery to all Kenyans.

Speaking on the sidelines of the event, acting National Land Commission (NLC) Chief Eexecutive Officer, Kabale Tache noted that along with aligning its procedures and processes with technology, NLC has designed an E-Commission System with a land management module. The system, according to the CEO is aimed at automating the commission’s services for efficient service delivery.

The system has specific objectives geared towards efficiency in the land sector and the promotion of digital land processes that include registration of community, public and private land.
