NLC HONORED IN GABORONE, BOTSWANA AS KABALE TACHE NAMED BEST FEMALE PUBLIC SECTOR CEO

The National Land Commission has been honoured as one of Africa’s Top 50 Innovative Public Sector Agencies.
The award was given during the 5th Africa Public Sector Conference held in Gaborone, Botswana between 2nd-4th October, 2024.
The Commission was represented at the conference by the CEO Kabale Tache Arero and Directors CPA Bernard Cherutich (Finance and Corporate Planning) and Dr Samuel Nthuni (Land Administration and Management).
The CEO was also named as the Best Female Public Sector CEO for outstanding leadership.
The conference was also attended by senior Kenya government officials, among them,  Principal Secretaries Gitonga Mugambi (Forestry), Dr. Beatrice Inyangala (Higher Education), Amos Gathecha, (Public Service), Paul Famba (CEO of Public Service Commission), Linda Musumba (Office of the President) and Ambassador Sabdiyo Bashuna, Kenya’s High Commissioner to Botswana.
Speaking during the Conference the NLC CEO observed that the recognition is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the entire Commission team.
She said that the conference served as a crucial platform for discussing innovative strategies and further advance the commitment to excellence and innovation in land management is essential in fostering sustainable development in Kenya and beyond.
The theme of the conference was themed *Promoting Innovation for Sustainable Development*. It attracted diverse groups of participants, including civil servants, public sector leaders, policymakers, industry experts, and government officials from across Africa.
The Conference highlighted the transformative power of innovation in driving positive change across the continent.
“The insights gained and connections formed during this event will greatly enhance the ongoing efforts of the National Land Commission and the broader public sector in achieving sustainable development,” Ms Tache noted.
