
Joel Ombati Nyamweya
Joel is a land and valuation expert with over 20 years of experience in valuation, property management, land acquisition and resettlement. He has a wealth of experience having worked in both public and private sector including but not limited to County Government of Kisii, Tullow Oil Joint venture, Kenya informal Settlement Improvement, World Bank, Ketraco, KPLC, and Ministry of lands.
Joel holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Land Economics and a Masters in Valuation and Property Management from the University of Nairobi. He is currently undertaking a Phd programme in Land Resource Management at Atlantic International University. In addition he has done several related courses including but not limited to mediation, arbitration and environmental impact assessment and audit.
Joel is a full member of Institution of Surveyors of Kenya and served in various positions as a branch Secretary, a branch chairman and as an examiner for Valuation and Estate Management Professionals. He is also a registered valuer with the Valuation Registration Board (VRB) and a registered estate agent with the Estate Agent’s Registration Board (EARB). In addition, he is a certified and accredited mediator, an arbitrator, NEMA Environmental Impact Assessment and Audit lead expert.
