Hon. Mary Yiane Seneta

Hon. Mary Seneta is a seasoned legislator, public policy specialist, and governance expert with over 28 years of distinguished leadership experience in public service, institutional governance, and community development.

She brings to the National Land Commission extensive expertise in legislative reform, land and environmental policy, gender-responsive governance, and social justice advocacy. Her career is anchored in promoting equitable access to resources, inclusive development, and the protection of community land rights.

She has previously served in Parliament as a Nominated Senator and as the Women Representative for Kajiado County, in addition to holding key leadership roles in institutional governance and board-level management, where she provided strategic oversight in governance, financial management, and human resource development.

She holds a Bachelor of Education (Arts) and a Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resource Management from the University of Nairobi. She has undertaken various professional trainings in governance, public policy, and leadership.

Hon. Seneta continues to serve with dedication and integrity at the National Land Commission, contributing to the sustainable management of land resources and the advancement of land justice in Kenya.
